Underground Glow Party
The school year is almost over. To celebrate we are having a GLOW party! There will be pizza, games and so much fun. Wear your brightest neon or white clothes to really SHINE under the blacklights. Make sure to bring your friends!! This event is open to current 5th-12 graders.
CIY Garage Sale Fundraiser
We will be participating in the town-wide yard sales this May. Proceeds will go to support our youth who are headed to CIY this summer.
Island Snow 2 Go will be onsite so, stop by and get a nice cold treat while you do some shopping.

IF:SJCOC 2024
IF:SJCOC 2024 is a chance for women from multiple churches and backgrounds to gather together and celebrate Jesus. A moment to refocus on our mission to go make disciples because we know our time on earth is short. And if Jesus were to come back in our lifetime, wouldn’t we want to have done everything in our power to reach every person on earth?
We're not just hosting an event. Together, we’re reclaiming discipleship as God’s means to change the world. Join us as we do this together.
April 13: 9:00am - 5:00pm (Light breakfast, Lunch, and Snacks included) *Doors open at 8:30am
There is a $20 registration fee that supports IF as well as the food & beverages provided by SJCOC.

Good Friday
Procession of the Cross
SJCOC, Prince of Peace, The United Methodist, and Living Word will join together in a Procession of the Cross. Please join us at 4 pm at the Methodist Church and then we will travel through the community making witness to the self-sacrifice of Jesus. As we journey between the 4 churches we will hear scripture, and worship in song.
Good Friday Service
Join us at SJCO at 6:30 pm for a service of remembrance. This is a wonderful opportunity to meditate on the events that took place on Good Friday, which led to Jesus’ crucifixion
#WhereIsHe Reverse Egg Hunt
It's time for SJCOC's annual #WhereIsHe Reverse Egg Hunt (it's like a scavenger hunt) for families with kiddos 12 and under! This year there will be 5 bunnies for you to find with all new clues leading to the prizes. We hope your family will join us (Saturday, March 23, 3 pm).
Winter Jam
A group of us will be going to Winter Jam ‘24 at the Gainbride Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. You are welcome to join us! We will be meeting at SJCOC at 12:30 pm CT and will depart from there. The doors open at 5:00 pm ET and the concert begins at 6:00 pm ET. Tickets are a $15 donation at the door and seats are first come first serve. *Please note that Gainbride Fieldhouse is a cashless facility.
This year's line-up includes Crowder, CAIN, Katy Nichole, , Newsong, Lecrae, Seventh Day Slumber and more!
Hymn Sing
Join us as we gather together and sing some of our favorite hymns during this special worship service.
Life-size Clue!
Youth 6th-12th grade, are invited to join us for a life-size version of the classic board game, Clue! Prizes for best dressed (Clue Characters) - so dress up—bring your friends and we’ll see you there. The event is from 5-7 pm. We will have pizza so please register your teen on Church Center so, we know how much to get.
Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
Join us at 4pm for a special Christmas Eve Worship Service. This is in addition to our normal 10 am Sunday Service.
Saint Joseph Women's Club Lighted Parade
We invite you to gather at SJCOC to watch the annual Lighted Christmas Parade. We will have a fire, hot cocoa, and caroling.
Christmas Family Movie Night
Join us in the SJCOC Sanctuary for a showing of The Muppet Christmas Carol Saturday, December 2nd.
There is no cost to enjoy the movie but our Youth Group will be selling concessions to help raise money for CIY summer camp. This event is open to the public.
SJO Community Christmas Tree Lighting
Join us at the annual Saint Joseph Community Christmas tree lighting for a night of fun, with warm fires and sweet treats. We will have s’mores by the fire starting at 4:30 p.m.
Community Thanksgiving Service & Dessert Fellowship
SJCOC will be hosting the annual Community Thanksgiving Service.
Special readings, musical performances, and a message will be a part of the evening. We will have a dessert fellowship following the service. Join us as we gather together in community with our other local churches.
Harvest Hootenanny
Join us for a night full of weenie roasting, hay riding, knee-slappin’ folk jam fun for all! We invite you to bring an already carved pumpkin to enter into our pumpkin contest. Women's Fall Gathering
Join us as we gather for connection, community, and an opportunity to explore faith together. A light breakfast will be provided while we enjoy two of the breakout speakers from the 2023 IF: Gathering Conference (virtually). This event is FREE but we ask that you do register so we can plan accordingly.
Ivan Parker Concert
Multi-award–winning Gospel singer/songwriter, Ivan Parker, will be coming back to SJCOC with special guest The Singing Men of GNN. Join us for this Free Concert.
Boohoo Yahoo Breakfast
Boohoo Yahoo Breakfast for parents of school age children
Boohoo or Yahoo, which parent are you? There's no shame in either, each school year is exciting and new. Please join us in the Fellowship Hall at 8:30am for coffee or juice, and a donut or two.
Turkey Run Service
Turkey Run Baptism Service
Join us Sunday, July 30th at 12pm CST / 1pm EST for a special service at Turkey Run State Park, in Indiana. We will gather at the Tennis Court Pavilion for lunch and worship, then we'll walk to the river for baptisms.
Please bring a lunch for your family and $9 for the car fee at the gate. Reach out to us if you need assistance with the fee.
Directions
Drive east on I-74 to state highway 41-S in Veedersburg, IN. Take SH-41 south to 47-East. Looks like you've gone too far if you hit Gobbler's Knob Country Store just past 47-E. We will be meeting at the Tennis Court Pavilion which is marked C on the map.
Keepers of the Kingdom VBS
A battle has begun in our dear village. A battle between good and evil. We are putting together an army here at SJCOC to fight for the good kingdom. Please have your child(s) join us July 18th-21st from 6-8:30pm. They will learn how to put on the full armor of God and how they can use it against the kingdom of darkness.

Water Day Sunday
Come in your beachwear as we end Summer in the Street with a Splash! Water balloons, squirt guns and a shaving cream fight. Bring your own can but Barbasol only please. We'll also be cooking out and make sure you get signed up for the Watermelon eating contest.
Father’s Day Sunday
Help us celebrate the awesome men in our lives by coming dressed as your dad. La Paloma food truck will join us after service and then we'll find out who's the strongest during our tug of war tournament.
Tropical Sunday
We want to see those Hawaiian shirts. After service we'll enjoy a finger food potluck and yard games, including a cornhole tournament!
Movie on the Lawn
Join us for Movie on the Lawn this Friday at 9:00pm! We will be showing The Super Mario Bros. Movie. This FREE event is open to the entire community.
The Underground (Youth Group) will be selling concessions during the event.
Blessing of the Pets
We invite you to bring your pets to be prayed over and blessed by Pastor Ryan during the Taste of St. Joseph on June 9th. The SJCOC booth will be located between Geschenk and Country Chics from 4-7pm. We hope to see you there!
SPARTAN SUNDAY
Wear your Spartan gear and join us for Mediterranean cuisine, a fun game of flag football, bounce house and a pie baking contest!
Baptisms
We'd love to baptize you on May 28th if you've been considering baptism. Jesus modeled baptism (Matthew 3:13-17) and directed us to baptize one another in His name (Matthew 18:16-20).
Baptism is a key and valuable element of our faith as we pursue Jesus and embrace the salvation He provides through the cross and empty grave. We will offer a Baptism Class on Sunday, May 21st from 8:30-9:30am for any who considering baptism at this time.
Pizza with the Pastors
You're invited to eat pizza and get to know our pastoral staff following service on April 16th.
Come prepared with an appetite and questions for the pastors. This is a great opportunity to get to know us and our hearts for both you and the Lord.
Registration is required so we can order enough pizza.
